Tokyo is CRAZY busy!!

Yesterday (Sorry I didn't post this last night, I Was too tired), we went to Shinjuku, which is like the center of Tokyo. There were sooooo many people it was insane. No one stopped anywhere for more than 5 seconds. It was nuts!! My first culture shock of my trip was the fact that everyone here is JApanese.. or Asian.. Now I know that sounds like "Duh Paulina, you are in Japan." But think about it... in America, everyone is American, but they're all of different race. Imagine going to New York City and EVERYONE is Asian. That would trip you out for sure!!!
I had a great time in Shinjuku though. I went with Sarah, Daniel (the Brit), Butsurin, and David. David also studied at Madison, he's half Japanese half American, but was raised here in Japan I think. He's really shy, but soo nice. Anyway.. we first went to a department store. The department stores here are also nuts because they are sooo huge. Take a Target for instance, and make it 7 or 8 stories high.. Then you've got the department stores here. I could only look around because everything is soo expensive, and for once!! I'm trying to conserve cash. Mom, you would be proud of me. :)

Oh yeah.. and ALSO.. in Shinjuku.. yes.. this is the TRUTH.. I, Paulina Bugembe, ate SHRIMP!!! And omg was it MARVELLOUS!!! I had "fast food" (according to Butsurin) shrimp tempura.. Which was better than any shrimp tempura I've tried in the states at a restaurant for 15 bucks.. ha ha ha The bowl of shrimp tempura costed like 600 yen.. which is about 6 bucks.. IT was sooo goood!!!
I should have taken a picture of it.. but since I'll probably be heading back to Shinjuku to pick up my guitar, then I can eat there again and take a pic then. And make all you Shrimp lovers jealous. You should have seen how HUGE it was.. not like the shrinky dinky shrimp in the states.. mmmm shrimp.
Ok so enough about shrimp. Let's talk about the crazy garbage trucks here, and how they play this song nonstop that makes them sound like an ice cream truck. I'll have to sing it for ya'll when I come back to the states.
Also in Shinjuku, we went to the observatory in the Tokyo Touchou.. (I think that's how you spell it in Japanese.) Anyway, it's the capital building in Tokyo. Many of you who have seen Kodomo no Omocha will remember it from when Sana-chan spilled juice on Hayama's head and while she was cleaning it off, he kissed her. Yes well, I was THERE bitches!!! (Sorry mom about the swearing.........) ANYWAY, yeah, I took some pics of the view, but since it was night time you couldn't see Fuji-san (Mt. Fuji). We'll probably be going back there during the day. Here is one of the views from the observatory... Tokyo is friggin HUGE!!!
Today, I'm just gonna do some studying, and then I'm going to go to the grocery store (I have noo food in my place at all!!), and then later tonight, Sarah, Daniel, and I are going to go see Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children! YESSS!!!
I'll post some more either later tonight or tomorrow morning.
Hope everyone is doing well!!
See the posts below for pics of my place! :)
