I made it!!

Ok so I'm here and I'm exhausted!!!!!!!!
The flight was the longest airplane flight I've ever been on in my life. And since there was no one to talk to, that just made it that much worse.
So, before I left my dad says to me: " Marie, don't be a ditz..." Wow, does my dad know me THAT well? MY first ditzy move of the day was not figuring out what terminal I had to go to at Ohare... It was fun trying to find our way through that maze. Ditzy move #2: I went through the security check and almost left my laptop. Ditzy move #3: I left my passport on the plane when I was going to go through immigration check.. Which means I had to go ALLLLLLLLL the way back to the gate... Narita Int'l is really huge... Anyway.. I didn't really have THAT many ditzy moves after that except for realizing that I forgot to cancel my cell phone back home.. (Real smooth) and I forgot to call the bank to let them know that I might be using my check card here...
Two of my friends came to pick me up.. It was really sweet.. They are Yuka and Butsurin. :)

They picked me up from the airport and we decided to opt for the cheaper train than the bus... So we took the train allll the way from Narita to Shin-Kawasaki station.. WHICH TOOK FOREVER!!! Like almost 2 hours.. But we got to go through a lot of interesting parts of the city, so that was cool.

Here are some pics of us from the train:

Their trains are soooooo clean here!!! And they aren't kidding when they say they get packed.. With the timing of my flight we totally hit the rush.. But we made it safely to my dorm WHICH by the way is SWEEEEEEEET!!!

After I got the tour from several of the RAs we all decided to go grab something to eat, since there were like 15 of us that arrived here today. It was fun of course.. but I had no idea what I was ordering.. Luckily it turned out they had stuff I knew.. So yeah, I wasn't too adventureous today and I had tonkatsu... Which is pork thats fried with breading.. Kinda like a pork chop.. and rice and miso soup and a salad that consisted of just cabbage. (YES I ATE A SALAD OF CABBAGE!!!)

So now I'm back in my oh so Japanese room and am about to plop onto the bed.

It was kinda frustrating today because I was soo tired and my Japanese is soooo rusty.. ha ha ha

But it got better as the night went on.

Sarah and I and another guy named Daniel (He is from Britain and lives on the floor below us) are going to meet Butsurin (aka BJ ha ha ha) in Shinjuku. Should be fun!! I'll post about it tomorrow. Goodnight!
