Tokyo Game Show

Note to self: Never drink all the way until 5 a.m., get home at 6:30.. wake up at 10:30... wake up being more drunk than you were when you went to sleep... And then going to a video game convention filled with thousands of sweaty nerds, tons of loud video games, and no aspirin... Lord.... lol
So yeah, we all know that I am a video game nerd and I LOOOOVE me some video games.. Well, I got the chance to go to the Tokyo Game show on Saturday... The Tokyo Game Show is a lot like the E3 convention for video games held in L.A. every May, except!! : 1) It's waay bigger, 2) It's open to the public, 3) It's in Tokyo (duh) and I guess I can't really say anything else because since I've never been to E3 I have nothing to compare to.. ANYWAY, I got to take a look at the latest games coming out for the latest systems.. And I got to see some great pre-rendered movies for the X-Box 360 and Playstation 3.
I guess I'll start with the Playstation 3.... Yeah.. I'm buying one. Only because it will probably be the sweetest gaming system EVER! ha ha ha Not only is the hardware groundbreaking.. not only am I a nerd who studies how the cell processor works.. WEll not THAT much in depth.. Roger, I'm sure you know more than me ha ha ha I got to see a pre-rendered Metal Gear Solid 4 video.. IT looks freaking fantastic!!!
What else, oh yeah.. the Xbox 360.. umm yeah.. WANT IT!! Now I've never been a huge fan of Xbox, but my god.. after seeing the demos at the convention how could I not want one??? ha ha ha

Moving on.. lol...
We spent all day at the convention. It took like 2 hours to get there by train, but then we grabbed the express home. That's one thing that is annoying about living here.. It takes at least an hour to get ANYWHERE... But luckily the train system is so well developed and convenient.. It could be worse.
Anyway, after the show, we got back and there was a party at my apartment building.. Kind of like a mixer type thing with free food and beer. I love Japan and how everyone here loves to drink lol. We hung out with some of the people from our dorm and then I decided to call it a night.
That night (Saturday), Seiji (see previous post) gave me a ring and asked if I would like to hang out the next day.. which is today... I'll post about that in a separate post so that you don't confuse the days.
Anyway, all in all Friday and Saturday pretty much blurred into one day.
Oh, and family? In case you're wondering.. I'm over that cold now. No more being sick!! YAAAY!!!
