Inokashira Koen (park)... Romantic Boat Ride.. ha ha ha NOT!

So Kouta and I went on one of our many trips to Kichijoji today... again... We love to eat Bubuka Ramen... The best ramen one could EVER eat.. and then go for walks through Inokashira Koen. Today, was an especially nice day, so we decided to rent a rowboat and row around on the huge pond that's in the middle of the park. That was all well and good until we were out there and I got freaked out by the huge Koi fish that are as big as my leg, and the catfish as long as my arm. They may just be fish, but they're really scary close up and the koi fish like to come up right next to your boat and jump out of the water to catch flies and stuff.. ewwwww!! If anything, my dad would have really liked the boatride since he is the fish king. Love you daddy! Miss you! he he he

Anyway, we're riding around the boat and feeding the ducks... when we see a cute little turtle swimming around our midst. I really wanted Kouta to catch it for me, but he was opposed to touching it... whether or not he was scared who knows... he he he. Anyway, earlier when we were feeding the ducks, he was getting a kick out of throwing the piece of popcorn above the oar which was underwater, and then when the duck came near he'd pull the oar out of the water and scare the crap out of the duck. Interestingly enough, the ducks all learned from this and would always approach the food tentatively. Only the stupid duck that hadn't seen what happened to previous ducks would fly in and try to get it and then get the crap scared out of it. It was an unofficial science experiment I guess.. he he he ANYWAY, Kouta decides to try and catch the turtle using the oar. Now you all may think that its easier than it really is... But pushing down on the oar in the boat to get the paddle part to rise from the water is no easy feat..... but SOMEHOW, he managed to do it in one try. It was so surprising that we laughed really hard about it! When the Japanese get something.. like if they catch something, or recieve something... they have this crazy "English" phrase called... "(whatever it is) get!" The sentence is completely grammatically incorrect, but to me its hilarious. Since the word in Japanese for turtle is "kame", Kouta yells out "Kame GET!" ha ha ha ... Maybe some of you will find it funny.. maybe not.. but I was laughing pretty hard.. he he he

Here are some of the pics from today... :)
